Fire Life Safety Director Position Overview – High End Property

Guardian Security Services is seeking professional Fire Life Safety Directors to support a commercial property in New York City.

The position is ideal for individuals who demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a polished, professional demeanor appropriate for a commercial environment.

Our Security Officers play an important role in maintaining safe, welcoming, and professionally managed environments for tenants, visitors, and building staff.

Fire Life Safety Director Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a professional and welcoming presence for tenants, guests, and vendors
2. Monitor building access points and maintain awareness of building activity
3. Respond to emergencies and alarms (Supervisory, Trouble and fire) promptly and professionally
4. Manning the command station as well as the lobby desk
5. Assist with package handling and vendor deliveries when required
6. Maintain control and documentation of building 
7. Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations
8. Making announcements
9. Enforce building policies while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
10. Carrying out EAP and fire plans when necessary

Requirements

• Valid New York State Security Guard License
• Valid T89 License or F89 License 
• Minimum 1 years FLSD Experience
• Prior experience in residential buildings, corporate buildings 
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor
• Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations
