Development Lead - Suspension

The Suspension Development Lead is responsible for leading a team of engineers in component and system design, development, and engineering release for STELLANTIS production vehicles.  The Development Lead will take part in development of vehicle level functional objectives and work to establish, and achieve, the corresponding component level functional objectives.  The Development Lead will take a leadership role in leading a team of engineers with on time delivery of components/system from initial concept, to kinematic/compliance modeling, to structural analysis, to validation, through component and vehicle launch.  Project management key process indicators (KPI’s) will be utilized to monitor process of the team.  Leadership responsibilities include component design (FMEA), analysis (CAE), vehicle packaging (NX), model/drawing integrity (Teamcenter), development, component validation (DVP&R), change management (CN), engineering bill of material (EBOM/CODEP), build support, issue management (eCIMS/GIMS), fastened joint design, and assembly torque development.  The Development lead will also assist in ensuring the proper documentation and storage of completed project records.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related degree field
• 8 years of chassis suspension engineering design and development experience 
• Demonstrated team leadership abilities 
• Ability to set targets, evaluate/identify gaps to existing targets, and lead solution activity 
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills 
• Demonstrated passion to work in the auto industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master of Science Degree in Engineering 
• Experience with problem solving such as Red-X 
• Experience with robust design such as DFSS
• Ability in NX/Teamcenter 
• Possess strong skills with DFMEA and DVP&R 
• Experience with Chrysler release systems
