POSITION TITLE: Sr. Manager, Investor Relations & Strategic Finance

POSITION LOCATION: 650 Davis Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94111

SALARY: $175,000-$200,000/yr.

HOURS: Full Time/40 hours

JOB DUTIES: Serve as primary finance point of contact for investor-related modeling, analysis, and diligence inquiries. Support fundraising activities, including planning and execution of fundraising roadshows, investor meetings, and marketing events. Support onboarding of new investors in coordination with internal teams and external partners. Support development and maintenance of performance metrics, KPIs, and management reporting for senior leadership and Board review. Coordinate with underwriting and asset management teams to deliver monthly actual vs. budget reporting, rolling forecasts, and variance analyses to Investors. Develop, maintain, and oversee complex corporate, fund, and asset-level financial models used for strategic planning, valuation, forecasting, and investor reporting. Build and review highly complex financial models in Excel and Anaplan, including multi-scenario analyses, capital structure modeling, and long-range forecasts. Review new and existing financial models for methodological soundness, data integrity, and adherence to internal standards. Apply strong understanding of financial controls and audit principles to ensure reliability of outputs used for decision-making and external stakeholders. Partner with FP&A, Asset Management, Underwriting, Operations, Fundraising, and Technology teams to align financial assumptions, modeling techniques, and outputs. Translate business strategy and operational drivers into scalable financial frameworks and decision support tools. Position does not have direct management or supervisory duties.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, Commerce or related field of study and 4 years of post-baccalaureate experience in investor relations and strategic finance.

Applicants must have demonstrated experience with:

1) 4 years of experience with financial modeling, including any combination of structured investment modeling, risk-assessment, and forecasting.
2) 3 years of experience with accounting principles, including independently building and interpreting three-statement financial models.
3) 2 years of experience participating in buy-side or sell-side financial, commercial, and operational due diligence processes.
4) finance concepts, including discounted cash flow analysis, valuation methodologies, and capital structure fundamentals.
5) applying financial markets and investment products knowledge to modeling and analyses.
6) supporting or consulting directly with institutional investors in fundraising, investor relations, or capital markets contexts.
7) translating financial analyses into clear, concise insights for senior management, investors, and cross-functional partners.
8) Excel-based financial modeling, including complex formulas, scenario analysis, and model auditability.
9) Anaplan modeling concepts.
10) applying financial models to investment analysis, forecasting, and decision support, including identifying risks, sensitivities, and key value drivers.
11) preparing investor-ready communication materials.
12) using Dealcloud, Salesforce, Adaptive or similar ERP systems to track external party communications, workflows, and capital raising efforts.
13) Working with Business Central in a professional capacity.
14) using relationship management or CRM platforms to support fundraising and investor engagement activities.
15) data analysis (using SQL and Python) and automation tools (including Power BI).

Generate’s compensation packages are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Salary decisions take into account a wide variety of factors including, but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $175,000 – $200,000. In addition, the compensation package may include a discretionary bonus and other benefits, including health care benefits, retirement benefits, benefits permitting paid days off (including sick leave, parental leave, and paid time off or vacation benefits), and other benefits that must be reported for federal tax purposes. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of this range.
