Automotive Service Advisor

Kirby Kia of Ventura is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor. This opportunity is suited to a seasoned advisor who can manage a busy service drive, explain repair recommendations clearly, and build lasting customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact between customers and the service department.
• Listen to vehicle concerns and document accurate repair orders.
• Explain recommended maintenance, repairs, estimates, and completion timelines.
• Obtain customer approval before authorizing additional work.
• Coordinate with technicians and parts staff to monitor repair progress.
• Verify warranty or service-contract coverage and obtain applicable authorizations.
• Keep customers informed about changes in cost, timing, and vehicle status.
• Review completed work and final invoices with customers.
• Maintain accurate records and follow dealership procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Previous automotive dealership service advisor experience.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple repair orders in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair terminology.
• Experience preparing estimates and explaining repair recommendations.
• Familiarity with dealership management systems and warranty processes preferred.
• Kia or Hyundai dealership experience is a plus.

• Compensation: Annual earnings range of $50,000–$100,000, depending on experience and dealership approval.
