About the role

This position is located in the Pharmacy Department at the Fort Yates Hospital of the Standing Rock Service Unit, Fort Yates, North Dakota. The employee serves as a Supervisory Pharmacist providing quality pharmaceutical services to eligible patients in accordance with Federal and State law, Indian Health Service regulations, and accepted ethical standards. Total Compensation Package - Check out IHS's outstanding total compensation package for this job: Pharmacist Total Compensation | Pay (ihs.gov) Directs inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations Planning and assigning work, developing and evaluating performance, approving leave, managing schedules, conducting hiring, and recommending, give advice on both work and administrative matters Knowledge of and skills in applying the concepts, principles, and practices of the science of clinical pharmacology, drug distribution systems, and regulatory compliance Selecting, compounding, dispensing, and preserving drugs and providing authoritative advice on complex problems such as drug interactions. Researching medical literature and/or clinical medication information to provide accurate responses to inquiries; and/or serves as medication subject matter expert with physicians, nurses, and other staff on drug-related problems; monitor adverse drug reactions, review and evaluate drug literature.

Background Investigation: If you are selected for this vacancy, you must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint check and background investigation. The investigation must find that you are suitable for Federal employment in your position. If you are found not suitable, you will be terminated after you begin work.
