About the role
Overview
The CT Technologist works under minimal supervision to assist the Lead CT Ttech in performing diagnostic CT procedures for patients; works effectively with patients and other clinic personnel; assists with PACS and routes patients and/or their images to the appropriate nurse's station.
Clinic hours: Mon - Fri 7:30a – 5:30p. This Full time position will work 36 hours/week, with one day off each week.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic procedures as required: achieve a high level of image quality
- Be observant for film artifacts and keep them to a minimum
- Obtain patient history as needed
- Assist helping to put the patient at ease
- Start IVs and administer IV contrast as directed by protocol.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a certified Radiological Technology Program
- A.R.R.T. Certification
- Must set a reasonable goal for achieving CT certification by the A.R.R.T within 1 year
- 2 years’ experience, preferred but not required
