General Summary:

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining daily cleanliness and sanitation of all office spaces in the NYC building. This position supports the Wholesale business.

The responsibilities described below are considered essential functions of the role.  This position is based in our NYC office and requires working on-site five days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of the Manhattan showroom spaces, this includes individual showrooms, conference rooms,  lobbies, restrooms, café space, kitchens, receptions, hallways, stairs and various other areas between five floors.
• Dust, mop, vacuum and sanitize/disinfect daily.
• Monitor and maintain restroom cleanliness throughout the day; restock soap, paper towels, toilet paper, air fresheners and other supplies as needed.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of kitchens and café spaces, which include fridges, pantries/cabinets and ice machines. Organize kitchen cabinets and supply closets.
• Respond promptly to cleanliness or spill incidents; ensure immediate cleanup to maintain a safe environment.
• Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the floors on a scheduled basis. Breakdown boxes and collect all trash and place them in the designated location for pick up.
• Maintain organized supply closets and keep inventory of supplies. Communicate with team for supply orders of snacks, beverages and other various supplies.
• Refill kitchen and coffee/tea supplies, maintain and clean coffee machines.
• Support event and meeting setup/breakdown and respond to special cleaning requests as needed. Set up catered food, prepare coffee/tea/beverages and supplies/utensils for meetings, and clean up once complete. Provide assistance throughout meetings/events as needed.
• Report issues and keep constant communication with manager of what is taking place in your station and update manager routinely.
• Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as needed
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Specific Job Skills:

Essential duties include

• The temp housekeeper is responsible for maintaining daily cleanliness and sanitation of all office spaces, including work areas, restrooms, kitchens, meeting rooms, and common areas, through tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting, and waste removal
• The role includes monitoring and restocking supplies, organizing kitchens and supply closets, maintaining coffee and beverage stations, and responding promptly to spills, special cleaning requests, and safety concerns
• Additionally, the housekeeper supports meetings and events with setup and cleanup, maintains clear communication with management, and reports issues or supply needs as they arise

Required Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
