Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Patrol Observation in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support access control activities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government office location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, public service areas, corridors, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and vendor entry requirements in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or public agencies as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
