Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time High End Retail Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and staff. You will respond to concerns, communicate professionally, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors in a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and report incidents according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, entrances, stock areas, employee spaces, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity to help deter theft, unauthorized access, and other security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with store personnel, mall management, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
