About the role

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at the Directorate of Emergency Services at Ft Leonard Wood, MO. Ft Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks.

Serves as the subject matter expert for traffic collision response, investigations, reconstruction and traffic management operations.

Applies advanced technical and analytical competences through the use of advanced specialized equipment and procedures while conducting traffic collision response,

and investigations and reconstruction that result in major property damage and/or serious injury or death.

Assists and guides military and civilian police officers that do not specialize in traffic control, special event support, and collision investigations.

Advises supervisors on traffic management issues impacting readiness and traffic movement of the installation.

Collects and preserves evidence, conducts short-term and long-term investigations on criminal cases and analyze facts to identify suspects and develops case information.

Appears in court to testify as required in Military Court Martials or Federal and State Court proceedings.
