Primary Purpose
Contributes to vegetation control programs through detailed field assessments, contractor coordination, and compliance monitoring, helping maintain system reliability and public safety.
Duties and Responsibilities
Frequent, independent driving to meetings, company locations, field locations and/or active incidents sites while maintaining a focus on safety and compliance with traffic laws is essential to this position and cannot reasonably be accomplished via alternative transportation. Qualifications

Contributes to vegetation control programs through detailed field assessments, contractor coordination, and compliance monitoring, helping maintain system reliability and public safety.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts detailed vegetation assessments and verifies compliance with clearance standards.
- Reviews contractor work plans and ensures adherence to specifications.
- Investigates vegetation-related outages and prepares incident documentation.
- Communicates with property owners to resolve access issues and explain vegetation control practices.
- Assists in planning seasonal trimming schedules based on growth patterns and risk analysis.
- Monitors herbicide application for compliance with environmental regulations.
- Updates GIS maps and vegetation databases with inspection results.
- Supports emergency vegetation clearance during storm restoration efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education
- Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Typically requires 2 years of related experience.
- Ability to apply environmental regulations and organizational policies to operational decisions.
- Ability to exercise judgment within established guidelines.
- Ability to prioritize competing field or program needs in time-sensitive environments.
- Knowledge of vegetation growth cycles, habitat considerations, and land-use constraints.
- Knowledge of vegetation management practices and forestry service delivery models.
- Skill in analyzing routine field or inspection data to identify trends or issues.
- Skill in collaborating with field personnel, contractors, and environmental stakeholders.
- A valid California driver's license is required.
