Security Specialist

About the Position: Incumbent serves as a Security Specialist in the Security Management Branch of the Law Enforcement and Security Division at the Pueblo Chemical Depot (PCD). The primary purpose of this position is to perform a full range of moderately difficult to complex functional (force protection, intelligence, personnel, physical, information, etc.) security duties and assignments to insure an acceptable security posture for PCD.

Advise the Commander and staff on threat conditions, vulnerabilities, and force protection policies.

Collect and shares threat intelligence with local security and law enforcement personnel.

Evaluate physical security controls to protect facilities, arms, ammunition, explosives (AA and E), and government property.

Train personnel on reducing and reporting criminal activity.

Oversee the annual Installation Security Awareness Training program across all depot units and contractors.

Review records and adjudicates employment suitability for non-sensitive positions.

Coordinate foreign disclosure requests, including those involving international treaties.
