SMALL CRAFT OPERATOR

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for certain personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Small Craft Operator XF-5786-10 with USACE Galveston District, Engineering and Construction Division, Port Arthur Resident Office located in Port Arthur, TX. Performs preliminary operation and maintenance of high precision electronic computer, plotting and sounding equipment is utilized on-board the Government launch.

Responsible for assisting in the handling and operation of sampling or measuring equipment.

Makes operational repairs and adjustments to propulsion engines and auxiliary equipment.

Responsible for the protection of the boat, its equipment and other property.

Utilizes electronic tracker plotter in guiding the launch on specific electronic positioning hydrographic survey assignments
