YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The Sr. Pricing Manager develops and executes pricing strategies for domestic and international sales to maximize profitability and achieve target margins. This role forecasts markets, establishes price points, guides operations on product mix, and leads the sales analytics team in developing and managing tools that support profitable decision-making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage product availability by publishing daily PA and out-front pricing for the sales group.
  • Collaborate with BI, product management, and pricing analyst for informed decision making.
  • Develop the target sold position by week and partner with the sales team to set price points that achieve established targets.
  • Apply a thorough understanding of USDA pork markets to forecast market conditions and price products based on market outlook and product costs.
  • Partner with Sales to evaluate and establish frozen positions for select products and determine the appropriate timing for those positions.
  • Service select accounts to maintain and enhance market awareness and knowledge.
  • Direct the sales analytics team to develop and manage production realization reporting.
  • Partner with Product Management to assess plant capabilities and capacity and develop an ideal mix of converted and non-converted products that maximizes profitability and uses available capacity without exceeding operational limits.
  • Travel up to 10% as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Eight or more years of experience in animal protein product management, sales, or an equivalent role.
  • Knowledge of protein and commodity markets.
  • Knowledge of customer needs and sales strategies.
  • Understanding of cost models for animal protein products; experience with pork products is preferred.
  • Familiarity with pork slaughter and fabrication facilities, processes, equipment, and cuts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Access files, supplies, or equipment from standard office furniture
  • Transport files, supplies, or materials typically not exceeding 20 pounds
  • Ascend/descend between levels via stairs or elevator
  • Travel to other company locations or off-site meetings as needed
