About the role

The Battle Creek VA Medical Center is recruiting for a Program Analyst. The Program Analyst will function under the Community Care Service Line.

The duties of the position may include but, are not limited to: The incumbent utilizes VSSC, Pyramid Analytics and other applications to perform sophisticated data analysis, including extracting data from internal and external databases, analyzing and interpreting complex data using basic statistical models, and designing and preparing user friendly reports Utilizes the web-based software at an advanced level to rapidly digitize paper processes such as administrative processes Serves as a resource to executive leadership for creating modules that have a service-wide impact on improving and streamlining processes in clinical and administrative services. Conducts independent research to develop an in-depth understanding of VA databases and data sources in order to retrieve and validate data and translates generally defined customer requirements into data analytics logic. Works with customers to fully define data and analysis requirement in order to accurately reflect requirements in analysis and reports. In the absence of documentation, researches VA data resources for development of in-depth understanding of how databases and reports are organized and the types of data available from them. Researches explanations for discrepancies between VA data source When necessary, establishes new data collection procedures for specific programmatic activities or for programmatic evaluations. Independently researches and obtains data from external sources for benchmarking and performance improvement activities. Contributes to the design and implementation of innovative approaches to health services delivery and organization based on findings. Evaluates achievement of objectives and performance measures based on finding. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
