Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervises several staff responsible for project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure effective and timely execution of program objectives. Coordinates with cross-functional teams to address challenges and maintain alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversees and monitors key project financials, including budget, actuals, forecast and variance and collaborates on refining project estimates and budgets from start to finish.
- Sets and manages deadlines with quality deliverables, effectively adapting and modifying plans based on changing conditions.
- Provides technical expertise to identify process gaps and drive sustained improvements, influencing and working with business leaders and stakeholders to ensure project quality.
- Designs and implements project/program coordination and tracking methodologies across several project efforts.
- Drives adherence to project processes, procedures, methods, and standards for project delivery.
- Identifies opportunities for improving project management processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leads strategic planning for project initiatives by aligning resources, priorities, and timelines to achieve long-term organizational objectives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Required: Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
- Required: Ability to balance competing priorities and stakeholder demands.
- Required: Ability to interpret portfolio-level cost, schedule, and risk trends.
- Required: Ability to support adoption of improved tools and practices.
- Required: Knowledge of approval and escalation processes.
- Required: Knowledge of managing multiple projects or small programs concurrently.
- Required: Skill in communicating complex delivery information clearly.
- Required: Skill in coordinating resources across projects and teams.
