Construction Control Representative

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as project coordinator with full responsibility for the surveillance of assigned construction projects.

Serves as technical specialist for quality assurance and surveillance of construction.

Reviews final plans and specifications for construction feasibility and practical accomplishment, and interprets technical portions for other participants.

Provides oversight and inspection of construction operations to ensure proper quality and quantity of material and equipment, workmanship, adequacy of contractor's methods, etc.

Performs technical duties including review of shop drawings, preparing response to contractor inquiries, as well as, performing the following work related to contract modifications.

As Resident Office Safety Officer, responsible for the strict enforcement of safe practices and safety regulations.
