Material Coordinator - 2nd Shift(Hours 3 -11pm)

Position Summary:
The Material Coordinator is responsible for supporting material flow and inventory accuracy for the Optical Fiber department. This role ensures that materials are properly kitted, moved, counted, and transacted in Microsoft Navision to maintain accurate inventory records and support production schedules. The position also assists with unboxing, packaging, and general material handling of both raw and finished goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform material kitting for production orders.
- Move and stage materials between stock rooms, production areas, and shipping/receiving as required.
- Conduct inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy in Navision.
- Execute transactions in Navision for material movements, issues, and receipts. This may include issuance of Work Orders.
- Assist with unboxing, labeling, and packaging of raw materials and finished goods.
- Support receiving and inspection activities by organizing materials and maintaining proper identification and tracking.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of material storage and stockroom areas.
- Work collaboratively with Logistics, Production, and Quality to ensure material availability and compliance with handling procedures.
- Follow all safety and quality protocols in material handling and storage.
Additional Information:
This role directly supports the Optical Fiber department and plays a key part in ensuring material readiness, accuracy, and on-time delivery to production and service operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Experience using ERP systems (Navision preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs and operate basic material handling equipment.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and accountability.
- Self Motivated with the ability to be self managed.
- ISO13485 medical device quality standard knowledge is preferred.
