About the role

This position is limited to employees who are in the Customer Service and Gas Operations / Distribution divisions.

Primary Purpose
Develops integrated cost and schedule control processes to improve project visibility and performance. Partners with project teams to deliver reliable forecasts and actionable insights for decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares project performance reports summarizing cost variances, schedule delays, and progress trends.
  • Performs variance analysis including schedule and cost variances using indices such as the schedule performance index (SPI) and cost performance index (CPI).
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of earned value and portfolio schedule management.
  • Contributes to risk management activities, identifying key risks and proposing actions to mitigate their impact on project performance.
  • Develops dashboards and visual tools to communicate project health to stakeholders.
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities to reduce duplication of effort and improve work quality.
  • Performs independent quality assurance reviews of project control inputs (progress updates, forecasts, assumptions) to validate data credibility prior to formal analysis.
  • Supports scenario development for potential scope or execution changes by preparing alternative control approaches and impact narratives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education
  • Required: Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience
  • Required: Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Required: Ability to apply judgment in resolving data inconsistencies or control issues.
  • Required: Ability to independently manage project control activities for defined scopes.
  • Required: Ability to influence project teams through data-based insights.
  • Required: Knowledge of change control and risk identification processes.
  • Required: Knowledge of earned value, forecasting, and performance measurement techniques.
  • Required: Skill in developing corrective action recommendations for project variances.
  • Required: Skill in integrating cost, schedule, and progress data for analysis.
