What You’ll Do
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with daily living activities
- Assist residents with mobility, positioning, meals and other daily needs
- Take and record vital signs and monitor residents' well-being
- Assist with maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment
- Communicate changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team
- Treat residents with dignity, respect and kindness

Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to interact with residents in a pleasant manner
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Knowledge of the general principles and practices of nursing
Minimum Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current, unrestricted Virginia Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
- Completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant Education training program and current unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant certification from the Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Nursing; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day.
- The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients/residents weighing over 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
