Medical Technician

About the Position: This position is located at the 55th Medical Group, Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Evaluate validity of data in relation to the test system and assay procedures.

Operate highly complex instruments in performing chemistry and special chemistry examinations.

Screen patients and collect and process specimens for testing.

Instruct patients on proper specimen collection techniques.

Schedule appointments for the laboratory.

Select appropriate test methodology to use.

Submit specimens for testing at reference laboratories.
