Practical Nurse (Outpatient)

About the Position: Position is within the Specialty Clinic at Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center. The Specialty Clinic houses organic and visiting providers in a variety of specialty servicelines ranging from Dermatology to Gastroenterology and Ortho/Hand. The exact specialties are subject to change based on market demand and provider availability. Core work hours are from 0700-1600, Monday-Friday. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce.

Perform comprehensive patient care and monitoring.

Provide practical nursing care to patients in the outpatient clinic with a variety of medical conditions.

Administer prescribed medications.

Educate patients and families about prescribed treatments.

Assist in performing medical procedures, physical examinations, and treatments.

Utilize electronic health record and information technology as effective communication tool.

Assist in counseling and educating patients.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
