Position Summary


The Loss Mitigation Business Analyst supports Loss Mitigation Operations by managing system changes, vendor updates, testing efforts, and process improvements. This role works closely with Operations, Compliance, Technology, and vendors to ensure changes are implemented correctly and meet business and regulatory requirements.


The ideal candidate will have mortgage servicing and loss mitigation experience, preferably from an underwriting background, and a strong understanding of loss mitigation regulations and investor guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze vendor and system changes that impact Loss Mitigation operations.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate that system updates function properly before production release.
  • Ensure UAT results match production requirements and business expectations.
  • Identify, document, and escalate system issues and defects.
  • Work with internal teams and vendors to implement enhancements and process improvements.
  • Stay current on loss mitigation regulations, investor guidelines, and servicing requirements.
  • Assist with process documentation, testing results, and business requirements.
  • Support compliance, audit, and regulatory initiatives.
  • Help improve operational efficiency and borrower experience in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of mortgage servicing experience required.
  • Previous Loss Mitigation experience required.
  • Experience in Loss Mitigation Underwriting strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of loss mitigation regulations, borrower assistance programs, and investor requirements.
  • Experience with UAT testing, system enhancements, or business process testing.
  • Experience with MSP and/or Black Knight systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
