About the role
*All student employment positions on campus are covered by a negotiated contract with the Union of Grinnell Student Dining Workers (UGSDW).
Duties:
40h total in the Fall 2026 Semester
They will conduct research on the relationship between deservingness and the 2000 Palermo Protocol, consisting of two main tasks: a) The research assistant will synthesize and organize scholarly literature provided by faculty to support the project’s literature review; b) review and synthesize relevant information from United Nations archival documents. The assistant will organize findings into clear research notes, summaries, and annotated materials to support faculty writing, and help identify key concepts, legal categories, and historical continuities between the process of creating the Protocol and the final text.
