Equipment Specialist (Biomedical)

About the Position: This position is located at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, Camp Pendleton, CA. Biomedical Engineering (BIOMED) Certification is preferred. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs state-of-the-art biomedical equipment.

Plans, develops, and implements an effective Quality Management Program (QMP) which involves the quality assurance in the acquisition, incoming inspection, acceptance, maintenance, and eventual retirement and disposal of biomedical/medical equipment.

Implements and maintains the internal annual audit plan for the hospital.

Schedules, coordinates, and/or performs audits with clinics and/or ISO registrar.

Performs special studies to collect, analyze, interpret information and develop recommendations to resolve deficiencies.

Conducts investigations, evaluates, interprets, and collects information to identify trends.

Serves at meetings on various patient safety, risk management, and quality assurance committees

Reviews and prepares written reports on the property book concerning listing accuracy and completeness of all data fields.
