Job Summary
As the Service Shop Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations for the Warehouse in Fairburn, GA, including the Service Shop, Rental Shop, and Shipping/Receiving Department. Your primary responsibilities include managing workload distribution, controlling production costs and efficiencies, maintaining equipment maintenance standards, supporting marketing programs, and fostering a professional image of the dealership.
Additionally, you will cultivate a strong team atmosphere within the Service, Rental and Parts departments, collaborating with all Carolina Handling departments, Raymond, the Dealer network, and suppliers. Your position involves directing yourself and team members to utilize the Company’s resources to achieve customer satisfaction while ensuring team productivity and profitability for the Company’s benefit. You will coordinate, control, and develop shop sales, job performance, and quality, utilizing systems such as IRIUM and ROM to produce quotes and work activities that achieve reasonable profit while upholding quality and training objectives.
Responsibilities
· Leadership and Team Development
o Provide leadership and accountability for associates within the Fairburn Warehouse, including the Service Shop, Rentals, and Shipping/Receiving teams.
o Evaluate and select qualified individuals who are best suited to perform the duties within the rental, service shop, and shipping/receiving functions.
o Identify and address departmental training needs, ensuring regular training for all associates.
o Regularly evaluate the job performance of department associates against established goals and objectives.
o Promote teamwork and facilitate dispute resolution among associates, departments, and customers.
· Asset and Equipment Management
o Assist in asset lifecycle management for the service and rental shop departments, ensuring equipment availability, utilization, and effective value and risk management, as well as managing sublet equipment.
o Maintain system and physical inventory integrity, including conducting physical inventory counts and reconciliation.
· Production and Efficiency Oversight
o Oversee rental and service production efficiency, including the effectiveness and cost efficiency of all relevant maintenance and build programs, out-of-contact maintenance, abuse quotes, batteries and chargers, shop processes and procedures, and subcontract maintenance.
o Drive shop volume through proactive quote activity, customer engagement, and collaboration with internal and field teams as opportunities arise.
· Customer Service and Repairs
o Provide high-quality shop repairs, identify customer needs, and offer solution options based on customer needs and objectives.
o Direct shop technicians to provide customer service support and actively seek feedback to measure and improve customer satisfaction.
o Maintain open communication with management, sales teams, associates, other departments, Raymond, the Dealer network, and equipment vendors to foster positive relationships and support.
· Financial and Administrative Management
o Ensure accurate administration of work orders, payables, sub-rents, equipment rollouts, and the quoting process.
· Perform any other duties as assigned or required to support the company's overall operations and objectives.
Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

This position is classified as heavy work, involving the operation of machinery, power tools, and heavy equipment. Job tasks may require various physical activities such as walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling, along with moving about the warehouse to various work areas. Physical demands include the ability to constantly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally to 100 pounds. Manual dexterity is crucial for operating machinery, tools, computers, and handling materials. Clear articulation and voice control are essential for effective communication with both internal and external customers via telephone. Specific vision abilities essential for this role include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Additionally, visual acuity is necessary to read documents, schematics, and equipment displays.
This role operates within a shop/warehouse setting with frequent exposure to oil, grease, and dirt, as well as extreme seasonal temperatures, and vibration. Occasionally, the role may entail working in elevated conditions, encountering harmful or corrosive chemicals, and facing the risk of electric shock. There is potential exposure to hazards related to equipment movement and harmful chemicals/solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed. Noise levels typically range from moderate to high.
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to other offices may be required.
