About the Position: This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. Obtain diet orders before each meal service from ward nursing staff from faxed diet rosters.

Order non-prescription nourishment for patients while maintaining nutritional requirements and limitations of specific diets.

Utilize knowledge of calorie values, carbohydrate, protein, fat, fiber, sodium, potassium, and other nutrition components of foods.

Assist the dietitian in assessment of nutrition status, nutrition monitoring and screening of individual patient's needs.

Monitor patient's food tolerances, preferences, allergies, and/or special needs.

Provide professional, courteous verbal communication and interviewing skills.

Check diet roster prior to each meal; make necessary diet changes.

Periodically order 'mock' trays for quality assurance purposes.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
