About the role

Joining the Secret Service, Office of Field Operations, Criminal Investigative Division will allow you to direct the provision of a full range of counterfeit currency forensic services to the organization and its components. For definitions of terms found in this announcement, please click here.

The selectee will serve as a Supervisory Physical Scientist in the Office of Field Operations, Criminal Investigative Division. Typical work assignments include: Servicing as an advisor to stakeholders on the conceptualization, development, and presentation of anticounterfeiting policy, forensic and statistical analysis related to counterfeiting. Advising stakeholders on various forensic and physical science issues. Developing scientific standard operations procedures for forensic analysis, counterfeit detection, authentication, or security feature assessment. Leading or supervising counterfeit projects, or a team of counterfeit specialists.
