Medical Technician

About the Position: This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

Perform donor screening and prerequisite assessment including detailed medical histories, physical examinations, laboratory testing on hematology analyzers, venipuncture and venous access.

Perform initial medical review of donor records, ensuring complete and accurate documentation of procedure.

Conduct lot review and lot release of blood components including the proper use and utilization of the automated systems and the review of generated shipping documents.

Initiate Quality Control and Preventive Maintenance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and as required on equipment and instrumentation.

Coordinates with employees to ensure that adequate supplies are available to meet donor and patient procedural requirements.
