About the role

About the Position: Join us at the United States Southern Command. We provide direct support to a four-star unified Combatant Commander, but are compact enough that our staff also works with senior leadership representatives of our inter-service, inter-agency and (public and private) international partner organizations. Our contribution to furthering our country's relationships with South and Central American nations and peoples are substantial.

Manage the command Vendor Threat Mitigation program to reduce risks to forces, missions, and commercial support across the United States Southern Command area of responsibility.

Develop command Vendor Threat Mitigation policies to implement applicable laws, Department of War directives, and supply chain risk management requirements.

Assess vendor risks to identify threats to contracted commercial support and determine appropriate mitigation measures before contract award.

Lead the logistics and intelligence fusion working group to integrate threat information into vendor risk assessments and operational support decisions.

Integrate Vendor Threat Mitigation requirements into joint plans, orders, exercises, and logistics annexes to improve operational readiness.
