Gas Transmission and/or Distribution Project Management Senior I

Primary Purpose
Leads planning and execution of medium-scale projects, ensuring alignment with safety and regulatory standards. Applies advanced project management practices to deliver reliable and cost-effective solutions.

This role manages gas distribution medium and high-pressure projects as part of the new strategic performance and improvement organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Implements project controls systems to monitor progress, productivity, and cost performance.
• Monitors vendor and contractor performance against KPIs and contract milestones.
• Collaborates with system planners and engineers for alignment with gas supply and demand forecasts.
• Contributes to emergency response planning for construction and operational contingencies.
• Reviews geospatial data and routing studies to minimize environmental and community impact.
• Coordinates accounting, cost, forecast, and construction functions for project completion.
• Develops and maintains detailed project risk and issue logs, assessing potential schedule or execution impacts and recommending mitigation actions.
• Tracks and evaluates lessons learned from completed project phases and recommends improvements to execution practices for future projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

• Typically requires 5 years of related experience.

• Ability to develop integrated project plans covering scope, schedule, and resources.
• Ability to lead cross-functional project teams without formal authority.
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations within defined parameters.
• Knowledge of contracting, procurement, and contractor oversight practices.
• Knowledge of gas infrastructure project execution methodologies.
• Skill in applying change management processes.
• Skill in identifying and assessing safety, constructability, and compliance risks.
