Bear Center Welcome Desk Attendant/Monitor

The Student Welcome Desk Attendant Monitor serves as a welcoming presence in the Bear Center, supporting campus operations by greeting visitors, enforcing facility policies, providing general information, and maintaining a professional and friendly atmosphere. This role is ideal for students who demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, time management, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

1. Punctuality & Presence
• Arrive on time for your scheduled shift.
• Remain at the Welcome Desk until the end of your shift unless relieved by a supervisor or another student employee.
2. Guest Assistance
• Be prepared to answer general questions from college guests.
• Offer clear directions and guidance throughout the Bear Center.
3. Membership Knowledge
• Understand Bear Center membership options.
• Direct potential members to the appropriate staff for further assistance.
4. Hospitality & Professionalism
• Greet every individual who enters the Bear Center with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
5. Policy Enforcement
• Ensure all individuals swipe their P-Card upon entry.
• Exceptions include official guests of the College and Athletic and Recreation Department.
