Supervisory Budget Analyst

About the Position: Serves as the Chief, Budget Operations Division, Resource Services Directorate, for Headquarters, Department of the Army. Ensures all phases of the budgetary process are in compliance with governmental law and regulatory guidance, Congressional mandates, Comptroller General decisions, GAO recommendations, and OMB/DoD/HQDA policies and procedures.

Actively promotes the elimination of fraud, waste, and mismanagement in the government through the Internal Control Program.

Establishes policies and priorities for the short- and long-range planning for facilities, equipment, manpower, and funding necessary to accomplish mission.

Promotes sound position management principles and programs, plans organizational structure and staffing needs, and provides career and promotional opportunities and skills.

Directs the review and analysis of OMB/DoD/DA program and budget guidance and instructions, conducted by the Budget Execution and Funds Control Division, to determine impact on HQDA operations

Through extensive research and interpretation, determines appropriate type of funds, source of funds, and proper financial procedures for obtaining and using funds.
