Logistics Management Specialist

You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist within the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Division within the Material Management Division, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Headquarters, of CNSSC FLD DET MECH PA.

You will provide participating Resource Manager type services and participates in all phases of Integrated Logistics support (ILS) to accomplish the outfitting and follow-on supply support of the MHE end items.

You will assist in negotiation and development of contractors specific provisioning, technical documentation, delivery and scheduling requirements and follow-up on all stages of procurement and delivery to verify that customer needs are being met.

You will evaluate introduction of new equipment into the program to ensure the required support of onboard infrastructure is in place.

You will be the focal point for shipboard matters related to the program and make best value decisions by obtaining and objective evidence to ensure that equipment replacement is based on the optimum economic relationship of capital investment.

You will Maintain records of the type, kind and quantity of equipment to meet prescribed afloat activity needs. Maintain allowances by ship and processes Allowance Change Requests (ACRs), and sign approval/disapproval letters.
