About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
Serve as the Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) Action Officer for Base Emergency Communications System (BECS) to ensure NETCOM equities across all five BECS capabilities are properly represented, defended, synchronized, and mitigated.
Coordinate with the Department of Army (DA) and key commands to ensure BECS modernization schedules are synchronized.
Manage technical details such as Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) circuits and spectrum requests in coordination with NETCOM to minimize overall mission impacts to installations selected for modernization.
Execute duties as the Army Military Auxiliary Radio System (MARS) Action Officer for developing, coordinating, and implementing policies, procedures, plans, and trainings to maintain 100% regulatory compliance in support of MARS and HF operations.
Analyze complex IT and telecommunications requests for technical and functional ramifications to maintain operational readiness.
Coordinate with stakeholders and oversee projects or programs in support of enterprise level Change Management to facilitate the implementation of IT and telecommunications infrastructure.
Monitor contract execution as Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) to ensure that all delivered goods and services satisfy rigorous quality standards.
