Primary Purpose
Leads development of sophisticated data solutions and ensures alignment with organizational priorities. Shapes analytical approaches that drive efficiency and enable informed decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develops and refines machine learning models for improving reliability, prediction capability, and preventive maintenance of critical infrastructure.
Monitors data quality and implements improvement initiatives to enhance data accuracy and reliability.
Translates business challenges and opportunities into project ideas, manages data science projects, collaborates with leadership for deploying models at scale, and ensures timely deliverables with high quality.
Conducts in-depth exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing actionable insights to business units.
Facilitates cross-departmental collaboration to leverage data insights for strategic planning and operational improvements.
Explores and prototypes emerging data science techniques and tools to assess their applicability to current business challenges.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Required: Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Experience

Required: Typically requires 8 years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required: Ability to assess data limitations, uncertainty, and risk in analytical outputs.
Required: Ability to evaluate and select appropriate analytical methods for non-standard problems.
Required: Knowledge of performance measurement frameworks and enterprise reporting standards.
Required: Skill in influencing business decisions through data-driven analysis and storytelling.
Required: Skill in leading end-to-end analytical projects with significant cross-functional impact.
Required: Skill in representing analytical findings in executive-level discussions.
