The Assistant Operations Manager supports the overall operation of the hotel by assisting in the oversight of Front Office, Housekeeping, and Lobby Bar/Market operations. This role works closely with department leaders to ensure exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, and colleague engagement across the Rooms and Food & Beverage divisions.
Responsibilities include supervising daily operations, supporting staff training and development, managing schedules, maintaining service standards, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Assistant Operations Manager may oversee Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Lobby Bar, Market, and Coffee Shop operations as business needs require.
This position plays a key role in fostering a positive and productive work environment while promoting a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork. The Assistant Operations Manager is committed to delivering outstanding guest experiences and driving both guest and associate satisfaction.
Qualifications - External
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- 2-3 years of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience
- Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
- Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
- Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
