Position Summary: The Tool Room Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the tool room to ensure tooling, dies, fixtures, equipment, and related supplies are properly organized, maintained, tracked, and readily available to support production requirements.
Provide a brief overview of why this job exists and its primary purpose. This role helps prevent production delays, reduce tooling-related downtime, maintain accurate inventory and records, and provide effective coordination between the Tool Room and Production.

Essential Job Duties:
- Tooling Inventory Control- Maintain accurate inventory, identification, location, and status of tools, dies, fixtures, and tooling components.
- Tool Tracking - Coordinate the issuing, receiving, and tracking of tooling to ensure the correct spares and consumables are available for production when needed.
- Tooling Maintenance & Repair Coordination- work closely with tool room personnel to coordinate outside services to minimize production downtime.
- Production & Tool Room Support- work closely with Production, Tool Room and Engineering.
- Organization Safety & Documentation- maintain an organized and safe tool room while ensuring tooling records, inspection documentation, work orders, and related paperwork are accurate and current.
- Inventory of SPI (Spare Parts Inventory)
- Keeping track of key tool room consumable items
- Coordinate outside services
- Build relations w/ outside vendors
- Cost reduction
- Knowledge of this position
- High School Diploma
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Communication

- Basic understanding of tooling & tool room methods
- Bilingual/ Spanish
- Solid Works 3D
- ERP Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of Tooling terminology
- Prior purchasing experience
- Organization & attention to detail
- Communication & Coordination
- Problem Solving & Decision making
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stop, kneel, & reach for up to or over 8 hours daily
- Lift at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to work around manufacturing equipment, tool room machinery, and production areas.
- Ability to wear required PPE and follow all applicable safety procedures.
