MACHINIST

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a MACHINIST, Position Description Number D1489000 and is part of the 109TH AW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.

As a MACHINIST (WG-3414-11) you will perform machining operations and welding to accomplish the manufacture and repair of aircraft components, tools, equipment, parts, and special tools. Work involves machining processes and operations to include planning of necessary work sequences, laying out reference points and lines to be followed in the machining processes, planning for and setting up the work in the machine, programming the cutter path, selecting and shaping metal cutting tools and inserts, operating all types of machine tools, and performing precision handwork to fit, finish, and assemble machined parts and equipment.
