About the role

About the Position: Serves as a Security Specialist with emphasis on Antiterrorism in the Plans and Readiness Section of the 599th Transportation Surface Brigade. As the brigade AT Officer, coordinates with Joint/Host Nation military commands and civilian law enforcement agencies for synchronized AT efforts in support of DOD seaport operations.

Manage a foreign travel protection program.

Assist organizational personnel in meeting foreign travel training requirements.

Establish antiterrorism training and exercises so that they test compliance and readiness IAW established antiterrorism policy and plans.

Conduct risk management analysis and employ antiterrorism measures to identify threats and reduce risk to personnel, operations and assets.

Participate in host installation emergency management and security planning, training, and exercises.

Plan, formulate, and coordinate all matters pertaining to the protection of personnel, property and equipment against all hazards.

Establish civil/military partnerships for weapons of mass destruction response and recovery plans.

Utilize intelligence from multiple sources in support of the antiterrorism program and to identify warnings and indicators of terrorist threats.

Develop, implement, and operate an integrated antiterrorism program.

Evaluate the effectiveness of the organizations antiterrorism program.

Provide antiterrorism assistance and oversight to subordinate organizations.

Assist in the development and implementation procedures to ensure compliance with all FP Conditions (FPCON) and terrorist threat incident response procedures.

Work with Federal, state, local and/or host nation civil defense organizations to secure their cooperation and participation in AT planning, exercises and incident response.
