Pharmacist

About the Position: This position are located at Outpatient Pharmacy at Evans Army Community Hospital Fort Carson, CO. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.

Serves as an expert on pharmaceuticals, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics in all patient age groups.

Knowledge of the drugs and pharmaceuticals available, their interaction, provides authoritative instructions, advice and assistance to prescribing and dispensing officials on effectiveness, suitability, hazards, and other aspects of their use.

Advise on the safe and effective use of drug treatments and alternatives.

Conducts necessary patient education concerning the medication, its administration, signs of reaction, and related matters

Counsels patients on course of treatment, pertinent drug-drug and drug-nutrient interactions, possible adverse effects, and related matters.

Reviews efficiency of drug regimen. Advises on alternatives and cost effectiveness.
