Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Governance, Risk & Reporting to lead and evolve both the governance, risk, and compliance program and the reporting, data analytics, and strategic insights function within our Managed Services organization. This is a leadership role that sits at the intersection of governance, risk and compliance, revenue integrity, and data-driven decision-making — making it one of the most strategically important functions within Managed Services.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in audit governance, risk and compliance (GRC), and program management, paired with equally strong capability in data analytics, reporting design, and translating insight into strategic action. They think programmatically lead through influence and understand that both audit management and data-driven reporting are, ultimately, business capabilities that shape how the organization decides and grows.

The candidate will use that expertise to govern end-to-end compliance and risk management programs, protecting and enabling revenue flow and controlling program risk. With equal weight, the candidate will lead a dedicated reporting, analytics, and strategic insights capability, directing the team and the data pipelines that turn operational information into the dashboards, KPIs, and forward-looking intelligence executives rely on to make key business decisions. Across both, the candidate will govern complex, multi-vendor programs spanning our Managed Services portfolio and lead cross-functional teams with precision and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Provide oversight of the full lifecycle of Managed Services audit programs from planning and scoping through execution, evidence collection, remediation, and close-out, holding program owners accountable for meeting all requirements.
  • Govern the monthly, quarterly, and annual GRC review cadence, setting the calendar, accountability frameworks, and escalation protocols, and holding program leads accountable for surfacing risk and driving issues to closure.
  • Set the standards for audit control libraries across vendor programs, direct the team and SMEs performing gap analyses, and hold remediation owners accountable for driving plans to close on agreed timelines.
  • Govern evidence collection and documentation standards across all audit programs, holding Individual Contributors and Managers accountable for consistent quality, defensibility, and on-time delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for ISO, SOC, and vendor MSP audit engagements — including Microsoft, Cisco, Google, VMware, AWS, and other OEM partners, directing the program leads responsible for planning, evidence gathering, and audit submission activities.
  • Maintain a proactive risk posture across the portfolio, directing the team's risk identification and scenario modeling work, challenging findings, and surfacing mitigation strategies to leadership before issues become material.
  • Represent the governance and risk function in corporate Business Process Management Lifecycle (BPML), Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and Disaster Recovery (DR) initiatives, ensuring Managed Services requirements, the right team members, and current program content are accurately reflected throughout.
  • Own the Managed Services Information Security Management System (ISMS) policy review cycle — directing the team’s periodic review of all Managed Services ISMS policies, ensuring they remain current, aligned to ISO standards, and accurately reflect the organization’s risk posture and operational controls.
  • Own and govern the Privileged Access Review (PAR) program for Managed Services — setting the review cadence and scope, directing the team’s execution, holding access owners accountable for timely attestation and remediation, and ensuring outcomes are documented and defensible for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Own and govern the All Access Review program for Managed Services — overseeing the end-to-end review of user access entitlements across systems and platforms, ensuring access rights remain appropriate, least-privilege principles are upheld, and review outcomes are tracked to closure with clear accountability.
  • Lead the Monthly Governance and Compliance meetings for Managed Services — setting the agenda, directing the preparation of status reporting and risk content, facilitating cross-functional discussion of open compliance items, and ensuring action owners are held accountable for follow-through between sessions.

Programmatic Management & Revenue Control

  • Set the audit program strategy as a revenue-protection mechanism, and hold program owners accountable for keeping Managed Services accreditations, certifications, and vendor compliance statuses current, defensible, and aligned to commercial commitments.
  • Partner with Go to Market (GTM) and Business Development (BD) on the business case for MSP accreditations at the function level, directing the team's analysis of revenue exposure and margin risk arising from program gaps, lapses, or unfavorable audit outcomes.
  • Set strategic prioritization across audit workstreams, directing investment and team effort toward programs with the greatest revenue-enabling potential or highest risk consequence.
  • Govern executive-facing publication of quarterly audit schedules, program cost analyses, membership requirements, and risk frameworks — directing the team's outputs and ensuring full transparency and accountability across the portfolio.
  • Oversee work assignment and resource utilization across the team — leveraging a PPM or equivalent tooling — and hold managers accountable for efficient allocation against audit cycles and deadlines.
  • Sponsor and prioritize AI-enabled automation and workflow improvements across audit tracking, evidence collection, and compliance reporting — directing the team's delivery and measuring impact on manual overhead.
  • Own the periodic refresh of audit governance frameworks, directing the team to incorporate lessons learned, emerging regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement opportunities.

Stakeholder Engagement & Senior Leadership

  • Lead without direct authority and align cross-functional teams, SMEs, and business leaders across Services, Sales, Finance, Business Development, Technical Pre-Sales, and Solution Development to deliver audit outcomes on time and to standard.
  • Serve as the executive-facing voice of the audit program, presenting to steering committees and senior leadership on audit status, risk posture, strategic recommendations, and program investment decisions.
  • Govern the communication cadence and content reaching stakeholders owning the messages on audit health, risk escalations, remediation plans, and required actions, and ensuring the team delivers them on a regular cadence.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with external vendor and OEM audit teams, positioning Softchoice/WWT as a preferred, high-compliance partner.
  • Oversee team member engagement and experience during audit cycles — holding managers accountable for sustainable workloads and a high-performance, high-trust working environment.

Data Analytics & Strategic Insights

  • Lead the Managed Services reporting and analytics function as a distinct organizational capability — setting the analytics roadmap, directing the analyst team responsible for the dashboards, KPI frameworks, and data pipelines, and holding the function accountable for delivering real-time and trend visibility across operational performance, risk posture, and broader Managed Services outcomes.
  • Set the measurement agenda for the function — defining which metrics matter across operational performance and governing how the analyst team collects, validates, and reports them.
  • Own the quality and strategic framing of the function's executive-grade narratives — coaching analysts on how to translate complex operational data into clear strategic insights and curating the messages that reach senior leadership on revenue, risk, investment, and growth.
  • Own the function's executive-level partnership with Business Intelligence, Finance, and Operations — directing the analyst team's integration work so that audit and operational outcomes inform revenue forecasting, capacity planning, and strategic investments.
  • Lead, develop, and grow a team of reporting and data analysts — setting performance expectations, coaching on analytical rigor and executive communication, prioritizing the team's portfolio, and building the analyst bench as the function scales.
  • Establish and enforce data governance standards for the function — defining data sources of truth, validation and quality controls, access and stewardship protocols, and the operating model that keep Managed Services reporting trusted at the executive level.
  • Hold the team accountable for maintaining program documentation libraries — including current health reports, status updates, and risk registers — so that stakeholders have reliable, timely access to program information.
  • Set the strategic direction for data analytics and insights extraction as a decision-making capability — defining where pattern detection, predictive modeling, and scenario analysis should be applied, directing the team's execution, and shifting the function from reactive reporting to forward-looking organizational intelligence.
  • Be accountable for the reporting/analytics functions — directing the team's measurement frameworks for ROI and ensuring program performance and data-driven decisions connect to revenue protection, customer trust, and competitive positioning.
