About the Position: Serve as a Supervisory Public Safety Dispatcher for the Directorate of Emergency Services Police/Provost Marshall Communications Branch at JBLM, WA.
Assign work and special duties through shift for Lead Dispatchers.
Plan work schedules, revise schedule to meet peak workload periods and manpower shortages.
Responsible for the receipt and effective evaluation of 911 emergency calls.
Provide emergency medical dispatching (EMD) assistance to callers with medical emergencies using the local authority's emergency medical dispatch system.
Monitor status and availability of police, fire and medical field units to assure an appropriate response is made.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
