Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Patrol Alarm Monitoring in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property personnel while carrying out site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the commercial property, including lobbies, common areas, corridors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with property procedures; assist with directing guests, verifying authorization, and reporting access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established notification and escalation protocols.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, patrol, and incident reports, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and designated property contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an F85 or F89 Certificate of Fitness in New York.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
