Eckerd Connects is an established long-standing Functional Family Therapy provider in Kansas and we are seeking to expand our team!

Our FFT model is not your typical “billable service” hours and allows for a generously flexible schedule, therapists really enjoy that part of working with us.  We provide a small caseload (8-10 clients) which enables our Family Therapists to really help families and children, focusing on the clinical work and genuinely making a difference.

Salary Rate: $83,500

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The Senior Program Supervisor of Functional Family Therapy (FFT) is responsible for the oversight of the DOC and DCF FFT Programs and supervision of staff providing treatment services to Child Welfare and Department of Corrections involved children and families.
  • Responsible for assigned clinical staff to include the following: Assignment of staff duties; oversight of workload and productivity of program staff; staff compliance with agency policies and procedures; staff compliance with credentialing requirements; approving timesheets and travel claims; conducting employee performance evaluations, and facilitation of treatment team consultations, and monthly supervisions of FFT staff and FFT supervisor.
  • Submit monthly reports to funders and Eckerd Connects by the 5th of each month.
  • Attend all required monthly meetings such as but not limited to Quality Assurance and Finance meetings.
  • Attend Quarterly meets such as but not limited to Funder meetings and Advisory Council meetings.
  • Responsible for training and orienting new clinical staff to intakes, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and all documentation requirements. Responsible for ensuring new staff meet core competencies and agency requirements within probationary period.
  • Responsible for ongoing quality management of all documentation by staff. Provide oversight and review of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and other case documentation.
  • Provide clinical services, including intakes and treatment plans; crisis counseling, therapy and care coordination.
  • Maintain professional competency in his/her discipline through appropriate professional clinical training, attendance at workshops and conferences and via consultation with other professionals. Compliance with all requirements to maintain professional licensure.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, or other related Human Services field required.
  • State licensure as a Licensed Masters Social Worker, or Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist required.
  • 2+ years of experience in direct-care delivery of treatment or clinical services required.
  • One year of supervisory experience is preferred. Experience with group work modalities, residential settings, child welfare, and substance abuse treatment preferred. Coursework or practicum experience in group work, family therapy, sexual offender treatment and/or substance abuse treatment preferred.
  • Knowledge of family systems theory and application; social ecological theory and application; behavioral therapies theory and application; cognitive-behavioral therapy theory and application; pragmatic family therapies theory and application; child development research; and/or social skills assessment and intervention.
  • Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
  • Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerd’s Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes. Required to travel frequently between office and locations within the service area, attend meetings and conferences required to fulfill the obligations and responsibilities of the position.
  • Ability to periodically work extended hours and to respond to mental health crises at varied hours within and outside a standard work week. Work schedule may fluctuate according to work demands including evenings and weekends.

About our Program

Eckerd Connects’ Functional Family Therapy (FFT) is an empirically grounded, well-documented and highly successful family intervention program for youth ages 11 – 18 involved in the juvenile justice system and their families. Intervention ranges from, on average, 8 to 12 one-hour sessions for mild cases and up to 30 sessions of direct service for more difficult situations, with an average length of service of three months. Services are offered in the family’s home with flexibility to work around the family’s schedule.
