About the role

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implements project controls systems to monitor progress, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Monitors vendor and contractor performance against KPIs and contract milestones.
  • Collaborates with system planners and engineers for alignment with gas supply and demand forecasts.
  • Contributes to emergency response planning for construction and operational contingencies.
  • Reviews geospatial data and routing studies to minimize environmental and community impact.
  • Coordinates accounting, cost, forecast, and construction functions for project completion.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Education
  • Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience
  • Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Project/Program Management - The process of leading the work of a team to achieve goals and meet success criteria at a specified time.
  • Construction Management - Oversees construction projects from the beginning planning stages all the way through completion to ensure quality delivery with regards to the project's schedule, cost, quality, safety, scope and function.
  • Gas Engineering - Design and advise on smooth and safe supply or utilization of gas, including the development, construction, installation, operation, maintenance and repair of gas and gas-related technology.
  • Pipeline Design - The process of planning and creating specifications for a pipeline system to ensure it efficiently and safely transports fluids or gases, considering factors like pressure, temperature, material selection, and environmental impact.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring an organization's adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines and specifications relevant to its business processes.
  • Project Risk Management - The process of identifying, analyzing and responding to any risk that arises over the life cycle of a project to help the project remain on track and meet its goal.
  • Project Scheduling - A mechanism to communicate what tasks need to get done and which organizational resources will be allocated to complete those tasks in what timeframe.
  • Budget Management - Estimates revenue and expenses over a specified future period of time, and re-evaluates these on a periodic basis.
  • Project Quality Management - Ensures projects are delivered to an agreed quality.
  • Contractor Management - The managing of outsourced work performed for an individual company.
Licenses and Certifications
  • A valid California driver's license is required.
