About the role

You will serve as a RESOURCE COORDINATOR (SERVICE GROUP) in the Service Shop (990), Production Resources Department Manager (901), Production Resources Department (900), of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

You will be directly responsible for the movement of personnel between projects and ensuring the proper mix personnel is available to perform the tasks required.

You will advise on the selection of personnel for off-yard travel by evaluating their places on the Volunteer Travel List, qualifications, training, and skill level.

You will provide analytical support to a variety of entities as assigned or in conjunction with senior level management within his/her organization.

You will convey written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling

You will prepare all paperwork for sending nuclear and non-nuclear personnel TDY (temporary Duty).

You will request/cancel medical appointments, training, and other event that impact the employee's ability to be assigned as projects and internal shops available resources.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if relatedA transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
