About the role

Job Summary

The Quality Control Technician supports the Supplier Quality area by inspecting incoming components for non-conformance and ensuring product quality standards are met before use in production. This role plays a key part in maintaining manufacturing integrity and preventing defective parts from reaching the line.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control:

  • Receiving inspection of supplier components delivered to MTNA-G (Visual, functional, and dimensional).
  • Walk production floor to retrieve and evaluate components identified as defective during line-side use.
  • Support escalation procedures for recurring or critical supplier quality issues.
  • Follows all safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements during inspections.
  • Assists in maintaining a clean and organized inspection and quarantine area.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Identify and document non-conforming materials using established quality criteria.
  • Record inspection data and findings in designated logs or systems.
  • Communicate findings to the appropriate departments and/or suppliers for corrective action.
  • Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on recurring supplier issues.
  • Prepare and submit quality reports and documentation assigned.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Experience with basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to follow established procedures.
  • Familiarity with quality documentation and reporting practices is preferred.

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with ability to work independently, collaboratively, and prioritize tasks.
  • Manual dexterity for use of fine measurement tools.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.

Other Dimensions

  • May be asked to participate in internal quality audits.
  • Role may evolve to include expanded use of digital systems for inspection documentation.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
  • Some travel required for supplier visits (As needed).
  • Support Sr. Technician responsibilities (As needed).
