About the role

This position is in the office of the Under Secretary for Foreign Assistance, Humanitarian Affairs and Religious Freedom (F), Department of State (DOS).

Develops and implements a plan for accomplishing foreign assistance objectives based on the foreign policy goals.

Conducts research and analysis to provide authoritative advice on foreign policy and program planning, represents F at meetings with Department, interagency, and foreign government representatives, and briefs senior staff on outstanding issues.

Manages assigned programs, maintaining current on legislative and U.S. foreign policy developments affecting the administration of these programs.

Contributes to working groups focused on policy guidance, strategy documents, and implementation frameworks, offering recommendations and background analysis for consideration by senior officials .

Represents F at meetings with representatives of other State Department offices, U.S. government agencies, foreign governments, and non-governmental entities.
