Job Description:

As an Equipment Hauler, you will be responsible for planning and executing delivery activities, preparing delivery loads, following planned delivery routes, and assisting with Material Handling Equipment installations or returns, unloading, installing, and checking Material Handling Equipment for Toyota Material Handling Midsouth.

Essential Responsibilities:

As an Equipment Hauler, you should be a dependable and detail-oriented individual with a strong commitment to safety and precision. You must have excellent organizational skills to manage delivery schedules and ensure that each task is completed efficiently and accurately. Being proactive and having good problem-solving abilities are essential for addressing any challenges that may arise during deliveries or installations. Strong communication skills are necessary for coordinating with team members and clients effectively. A positive attitude, adaptability, and a strong work ethic will contribute to your success in this role and reflect the values of Toyota Material Handling Midsouth.

  • Operates a company truck (heavy-duty truck over 26,000 lbs. GVW) in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner.
  • Physically loads the company truck at the branch, verifies the truck's condition, and checks the manifest and other paperwork related to the deliveries.
  • Drives to the delivery destination, confirms the order with the customer, unloads and verifies the product, and obtains the customer's confirmation signature and payment.
  • Makes proper notations on the manifest and provides receipts for parts being returned from customers to the branch.
  • Picks up buy-out purchase orders from vendors on vendor "fill-in" purchase orders and delivers parts back to the branch or customer.
  • Collects accounts receivable, as necessary.
  • Works in a manner that prevents shortages and damage to products.
  • Responds promptly to management and others regarding delivery information.
  • Completes required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Accurately identifies products to ensure the correct, satisfactory condition product is located on the trailer/truck and unloaded at customer locations.

  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or technical school graduate required.
  • At least 1 years’ experience driving company trucks or tractor-trailers.
  • Compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Maintain safe operating practices.
  • Class A CDL and a clean MVR.
  • Ability to lift between 20 to 90 lbs.

Travel Requirements:

  • This position allows you to be home daily with weekends off.
